Galerie Anna Probst – contemporary art is our passion.
Our aim is to make contemporary art accessible and visible. We want to invite people to discover art without inhibition and to develop their own connection to it. Because art is always something deeply personal – and precisely for this reason, it requires a place that provides orientation, transparency, and trust.
Making Art Accessible. Galerie Anna Probst sees itself not only as an exhibition space, but also as a trusted partner. Our artists present their work in a setting that fosters encounters between the artwork, the space, and the viewer. We also guide our clients with openness, clarity, and encouragement—offering expert advice, clear explanations, and suggesting suitable options, always without trying to persuade. Dialogue, quality, and openness define our approach and shape every interaction, whether in a personal conversation, during a studio visit, or when selecting art for private or professional spaces.
Art as encounter and guidance. Our goal is to make art accessible and make decisions comprehensible. We view art in the long term—as something that provides security, brings joy, and is allowed to continue to unfold over time. Art should not merely please, but touch, move, and create resonance. It tells stories, shapes spaces, and accompanies people over the years. For us, art is not only a harmonious experience but also a catalyst for friction and debate. It is allowed to unsettle, challenge, and open up new ways of thinking. It is precisely this tension that often gives rise to its deepest impact. We showcase art that raises questions, challenges one’s own perspectives, and encourages a rethinking of viewpoints.
A space with atmosphere. The gallery, located at Uhlandstraße 145, is a place in which art is not only looked at, but experienced. We create an atmosphere that fosters a sense of connection and encourages visitors to engage with what art has to say. Our location is in the vibrant arts district between Ludwigkirchplatz and Fasanenplatz—an environment that fosters creativity, dialogue, and inspiration, and fits perfectly with our mission. We deliberately curate our exhibitions to create a distinctive atmosphere, often using candlelight, to allow visitors to experience art in all its glory.
Artists with conviction and craftsmanship. We represent contemporary artists who ask the pressing questions of our time and captivate audiences with their distinctive visual languages. Our artists create works that are precise, of the highest quality, and transcend fleeting trends. For us, art is never mere decoration—it resonates, sparks dialogue, and leaves a lasting impression. Our mission is to foster a personal connection between artists and collectors and to highlight art as a reflection of our times.
Anna Probst – About Me
I am a gallerist because I love the combination of creativity and commercial thinking. My strength lies in curatorial clarity and compelling communication: I open doors for art by building bridges between artists, the market, and the public – with a focus on both its material and immaterial value.
Zeitgeist meets intimacy. Art that touches. My gallery is a place where contemporary art becomes accessible and people find the courage to connect with it. I want to make art visible as a mirror of our time, as something that inspires, moves, and enriches. Therefore, I do not sell mainstream art, because art should always establish a personal connection between the artist and the art collector.
Contemporary art with conviction and intimacy. I help people buy art, put their minds at ease, and ensure transparency. Through dialogue, fair structures, and high quality, I help bring to light artists with extraordinary, creative ideas and exceptional craftsmanship. In this way, I facilitate connections that build trust—between the art, the artist, and the buyer.
A new name reflecting our approach. The move and rebranding also mark an important change: The former Galerie Probst will now be known as Galerie Anna Probst. This decision deliberately underscores my personal stance and curatorial vision. The new name stands for a clear positioning, authenticity, and a closer connection between artistic vision, personal commitment, and the gallery’s mission. My aim is to make it clear that behind our selection of artists, works, and themes lies an individual perspective—an approach that views art not as a decorative object, but as something that moves, inspires, and enriches.
